    Dan Wesson .357

I've got a Dan Wesson .357 that I'm thinking about selling to buy my kids a bolt youth .243. I've tried doing an Internet search, but haven't found anything. Any idea what one in good condition might be worth?

Usually a good many on Gunbroker to get a good idea what they are going for. Value depends on model, barrel length and any additional barrels with it. I had a .357 and wish I still had it. I do have a .22 that is a beautiful gun and very accurate. Would love to have a .44, but they are usually out my price range.

I may be interested pending model, barrel, condition, and price. Looking to add another to my collection. I had one at onetime. A 15-V with an 8" vent barrel. Wish I had never sold it. Course I regret selling every gun I've ever sold or traded too .

Looking forward to the pics. Send me a PM when you figure out what you want for it. And maybe we'll talk.

I'll get pics and model when I get home tomorrow. I'm sure I'll regret selling it too, but I bought my son a NEF single shot .243 two years ago, and I'm just not happy with it.

I have one, or had one. Loaned it to my good friend 20 years ago and he starts crying everytime I ask back for it. At least I know where it is and he loves. I'm like most and have more guns than I know what to do with.

I'd try to hang on to it unless you just had to sell it.

Agree, keep unless you just have to sell. I had a Dan Wesson back in the 80's. I traded in for S&W 9mm then traded the Smith later. Wish I had them both.

Sadly they are worth almost nothing today. Send me a PM and I will provide proper disposal.

Lol, I'll keep that in mind.

I hate to get rid of it, but I need to get my kid's a rifle. For some reason, I can't get the youth NEF .243 to group the way I think it should. 3 shot groups are roughly 2.5-3", The 4th shot will be a flier. Any ideas on what I may be missing?

I know exactly what is wrong. Include the NEF with a nominal fee in the package with the Dan Wesson. I'll get it all worked out.

Here is a pic. I measured the barrel, it's 5.25". It has minor wear and is overall good shape. It is a shooter.

                          Nice look-n hog-leg Cooter.

I've got 2 NEF and they did the same thing. I ground down a pretty thick washer and put it in the lug hole for the forearm. So it fits between the lug and the bottom of the hole in the forearm. It's the easy way to free float the barrel.

The guns are now clover leaf shooters!! Hope that helps.

It was great to meet you this evening Cooter! Gun is as described. Hope your son gets on a good one before the season is over. And looking forward to our next trial crossing.
