It there a drop in upper that would work on a 6920 lower in say 300BLK or other larger caliber round?

THe 6920 is a war horse. You should be able to slap any mil-spec 300 or 6.8 upper on it and go to town. If you want to spend a ton of money, buy a Noveske complete upper. Daniel Defense is another option. A step down from there might be DSG, Radical, and Ground Zero Precision.
By the way, if you decide to sell that 6920 and start from scratch on a different gun, PM me. Mine is lonely.

I did not know this platform even existed....
Mine shoots 165 grain federal fusions under an inch. Oh and I said that not buying a new firearm this year thing 4 guns ago

Do the newer Colts like the 6920 still have the large hinge pin as opposed to other standard AR's? Wouldn't that make a difference in upper compatibility?
No they are all standard size and have been for several years.
And that is trigger pins, not takedown pins.

So, started looking into the LE901's and have an issue I do not understand.
Colt's Website shows this version for $1999 MSRP with an additional $199 for the conversions kit, for a total $2200 MSRP.
Cheapest I can find it so far at the "Colt" dealer places is $2400 on the very bottom range. Anyone have any in-site as to why these well know, reputable dealers can charge a "premium to the MSRP price?
