Colt LE6920 compatability - wanting little larger caliber

It there a drop in upper that would work on a 6920 lower in say 300BLK or other larger caliber round?

6.8 would work as well. Just skeptical as to quality complete uppers.

Take a look at AAC for the 300BO upper and Bisom Armory for the 6.8

You cant go wrong with these.

I just bought a AAC 300 blackout complete rifle. There complete rifle is very accurate so I'm sure there uppers are awesome as well.

IMO, you are asking the question from the wrong direction. A better question might be whether there are any larger-caliber uppers that DO NOT play nicely with the 6920 lower.

THe 6920 is a war horse. You should be able to slap any mil-spec 300 or 6.8 upper on it and go to town. If you want to spend a ton of money, buy a Noveske complete upper. Daniel Defense is another option. A step down from there might be DSG, Radical, and Ground Zero Precision.

By the way, if you decide to sell that 6920 and start from scratch on a different gun, PM me. Mine is lonely.

I bought a colt le901. It's a .308 that can be converted to a .223 with the change of the upper and spring.

Mine shoots 165 grain federal fusions under an inch. Oh and I said that not buying a new firearm this year thing 4 guns ago. I snuck a VX6 and a Nightforce in on that promise also.

Not to hi jack...but pertinent to OP question.
Do the newer Colts like the 6920 still have the large hinge pin as opposed to other standard AR's? Wouldn't that make a difference in upper compatibility?

No they are all standard size and have been for several years.

And that is trigger pins, not takedown pins.

So, started looking into the LE901's and have an issue I do not understand.

Colt's Website shows this version for $1999 MSRP with an additional $199 for the conversions kit, for a total $2200 MSRP.

Cheapest I can find it so far at the "Colt" dealer places is $2400 on the very bottom range. Anyone have any in-site as to why these well know, reputable dealers can charge a "premium to the MSRP price?

The 16" MPW? I want a 9" MPW but that ship has probably passed.

I haven't personally dealt with Atlantic, but ive heard good things about them. And you can't argue with $1800
