    300 BO scope input.

I bought a ruger 300 bo and I am not sure what scope I should put on it. I was just about to the buy the Nikon p-300 for it but thought it might be best to ask here first. I have read some good reviews on that scope but want to make sure. The gun will be used by the kids for close shots on hogs and maybe deer. I plan on getting a can next year to put on it.

I bought a 300 BO AR a while back, and it came with a P300 scope on it. I went another route and am going to sell it if you interested. PM me.

I have a Vortex Viper 1-4x on my Ruger .300 blk and its a great fit. Any good 1-4 or 1-6 will serve well for that gun. Myself and my wife have shot 4 deer with that setup from 50 to 100 yards this year and they have all dropped like stones.

You'll love how handy it is with a low !magnification scope!

I bought a Peimary Arms 1-4 illuminated for my 8.5" 300 BO. I use subs 90% of the time so my shots are within 50 yards almost always. I like it for a cheap 120 optic

I may be the minority her but, vortex sucks till ya get to the rely high end glass, Nikon and the others are ok, but if your gonna do it, do it right the first time and get a leupy mark ar or vx3 w CDS dials. That way you can dial corrections for subs or if you get a mil dot or tmr reticle you can just use hold over for the correct range.

what do you consider high end on the vortex scopes?

I put a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 on this one. Burris makes great glass at a good price with a "forever" warranty. I have the Millet 1-4 on my 300AR.

There are a couple scopes that have both super and sub reticles for .300blk. I would look at them.

Razor, all the others I have used have had bad solar flare late in the evening or early morning. The time when the scope was needed the most.

We may be the minority. I have got away from the low clarity an lower quality glass. Most of the time I need a shot to count the most is very early or very late. I want the quality so I can make out my target. I have a blackout I'm about to put a vx1 on soon.

I was in the primary arms store today and checked out their new 1-6x w .300 BLK reticle, its a pretty sweet scope! Much shorter OAL than their old 1-4x. Obviously it's a cheapie scope so there is no comparing it to a Nightforce or Leupold but for the money it seems like a nice scope.
