    Preferred trigger pull weight?

I tweaked a factory 3.5# trigger down to 2.7# last night and will tinker with shooting it this weekend when I have some free time.

    What do you guys like?

I forgot to mention I am talking about hunting rifles.

My 788 223 is at abou 2.5. My 700 270 is at about 3 or 3.25. My 10/22 is standard, maybe 4 or 4.5 and creepy. My stock Glock trigger is at least 37 pounds with 1" of take up before it fires

      What type of gun?
      My .270 was originally 7#, now 2#
Pistols I like closer to 5#

My triggers on my rifles are a hair over a pound, with zero creep. They were installed by gunsmith, you have to be careful tweaking such components had a buddy tweak his and when he went to test it (unloaded) it dry fired when he closed the bolt. Just my two cents. Cheap insurance to have a gunsmith do it. That is unless it's a newer style adjustable model like savage then you should be good to adjust to your liking.

Depends on the use. Hunting a little heavyer like 3.5 ish, tactical bipod rifle 1 to 2 lbs, Olympic small bore 22's and air rifles 2 oz

this is a new model weatherby that advertises an adjustable trigger between 2.5# and 4.5#

2.5 is perfect, and 2.7 is dang close to 2.5.

I prefer about 2#. Anything less and I feel unsafe - 1) I don't have a lot of sensitivity in my fingers and 2) am afraid to discharge accidently wearing gloves. Above 4#, my accuracy really suffers.

2.5-3 for a hunting rifle due to cold fingers
