    AR question

Got my first AR has a 18 inch 1/8 twist barrel with suppressor. The barrel has 223 Wylde stamped on it. I have had a couple guys say not to run 556 ammo thru it. What do ya"ll think about that??

Wylde chambered barrels are specifically made to run .223 and 5.56 with no problem.

Bang away with 5.56mm. It will shoot both.

Agree with all above. The "couple guys say not to run 556 ammo thru it" probably have no experience or knowledge of the Wylde chambering. They are probably hearing ".223" and basing their recommendation off of that alone.

          All the best,
          Glenn

Wylde chamber is one of the more accurate chambers for 5.56 nato pressure and .223 SAAMI pressure.
