    223 Subsonic load data?

Does anyone have any data they can share for subs out of a 16inch barrel? Looking at the 60 grain Vmax or the 75 grain Hornady BTHP. Thanks.

The Hodgdon website has published data for 55gr subsonic with IMR TrailBoss powder.

For heavier bullets, you can find forums, etc with folks sharing their loads but they are not "published" data.

Be very careful if you try those, and shoot a close target (5yds) without a suppressor to check for keyholes. If your twist isn't fast enough to spin a heavy bullet at slow speed, you will destroy your can.

What are you looking to shoot with these?

You are gonna have about the same energy as a 22 LR.

Yeah I know.... .22 is a 60 grain sub load but I have no suppressor for it. So I'm gonna use the AR.

                223 Subsonic load data?

Can I ask why you would do this instead of shooting a .22 LR?

                Edit: NM

Unless you have one million squirrels to shoot, just put the .223 can on your rimfire and shoot away. A couple dirty .22s are not going to destroy your suppressor.

Thanks for answering my question... I didn't ask y'all for yalls input on whether or not I should just use a .22. If you're not going to provide information then get off my thread.

That AR is still gonna be pretty load with subs. And it probably wont cycle. Not enough power to through the bolt open unless you have a tunable gas system. However, best of luck to you with that attitude haha
