    Ruger Precision Rifle .308

Anybody have one of these? I'm considering this or a LR308 build. Anyone have any pics of the groups shot with the RPR?

        nope.....

I would look at the creedmore 308 gets a little boring.

Plan to have a creedmore as soon as I can get the fun money account rebuilt.

I'm already set up for reloading .308 and components are readily available, whereas creedmoor ammo can be a pain to find.

That Ruger Precision has also peaked my interest, but I already have the LR308 and other 308 bolt rifles. That said, I'd still go 308 as well cause like you, reloading is set up AND I already have a load of 308 ammo. I like the round and it does very well for the limited distance areas I hunt in.

I've seen a handful of groups from the rifle, but I personally can't see justifying the Ruger's price when an out of the box rifle half it's cost can shoot the same. I still want one though.

I have the 6.5 creedmor. I have only shot about 2 boxes thought it. And have shot several .5-.75 inch groups. I think it can do better. I have a monarch on it now but I need to upgrade to something else.

                    How's the factory trigger?

I've had the .243 for about 3 months and have been more than pleased. Once I found the seating depth, it came alive. I shot it again today trying to lock down the final load. Hard to argue with three different powders printing 3 shot clusters you can easily cover with a dime.

On the trigger, it could be better. I adjusted mine all the way down and would like a little more. It really needs a travel screw like the old 3 screw savage triggers.

Overall, I'm super pleased. Very hard to beat for the price.

I have the 6.5 as well and it is a shooter. 200 yards and it'll make dime size groups easily with factory ammo.
