APR rifle range update #2

Just thought I would share my second extended trip to the range with my APR rifle in 270 weatherby. I put a different scope on it and sighted it in, then shot for groups. Needless to say it's ready for the opener. That's 3 shots at 100 yards off of sand bags and with Weatherby brand ammo. Can't wait to settle the crosshairs on something soon.

It was built by Robert at Alamo Precision Rifles, remington action, 26" spiral fluted barrel (magnum sporter contour), timney trigger, 1-10 twist, mcmillan hunter stock - 8.5lbs as it sits. Anyone who is interested in a custom rifle around DFW should check them out. Super friendly, great communication and he builds a heck of a rifle. Here's a pic of my best group the 1st range trip with the old scope and a different round...

What height tally rings did you use?

Is the scope a 30 mm tube and 50 mm objective?

I'm running a 30mm tube and 50mm objective in Medium Talley rings on a 700. It fits perfect with about 1/8" clearance, similar to what's seen in the first picture.
