    Best Scope for the $$$$

I guess I need a scope to go with my wife's rifle once I make a decision. What scope should I get with a $500 dollar limit? any ideas for a rifle/scope combo feel free to share. Here is the link for my best rifle for the money...http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=557895

Whatever Leupy you can buy in that price range, in whatever variable power you like. I really like the Vx-3's in 3.5-10x40

I saw a Swaro Z3 go for roughly $500 on eBay, I regret not jumping on that. Right now, I am very impressed by the Minox ZA 3-9X50 I have which I bought for way south of your limit. I would definitely buy another.

You could get into a good Zeiss with that kind of cheddar, check with Redhawk rifles as they sell demos cheap. Also call Doug over at Cameralandny and tell him what you can spend. He always has a few great used scopes laying around he hasn't posted online yet that he will sell. Also a great guy to shoot the poop with over the phone.

Try posting on several other forums, as you might get a great deal from private sellers trying to get rid of stuff with some of the seasons already closing.

I would try to go as high class as possible and not settle for a mid grade scope.

Nikon Will probably give you more bang for your buck. I shoot a Leopold and Nikon.

I like both these scopes equally seems that me Leopold is better in low light situations.

                  Just my opinion

$500 is kinda in no man's land as far as bang for the buck in the scope department. Not quite enough to get into good stuff and nothing much better than a $300 scope IMO. That being said I'd go with this one.... http://www.cameralandny.com/optics2/...e=meopta541800
