Who has one and how is it? Looking at them hard, wanting GS opinions. Thanks in advance.

TC Venture reviews?

S&W is running the TC name through the mud currently. The venture isn't helping that name any either. Lots of bad reviews out there. I understand a company making a lower quality product to charge less to get into the avg joe market to try l and make money.. However, they have had several different recalls the sear, safety, and bolt being the ones I remember. And S&W's customer service treats TC like a red headed step child so good luck with "customer service" from them. I hate to say it as a die hard TC fan. I'd steer clear of the venture.

Did a lot of reading on the TC Venture and was wary, BUT They had a recall and fixed EVERY rifle they made or checked and ensured it wasn't an issue. That says something. You know they took a big hit on that.
I just bought (used) a TC Venture .338 Win Mag made in March 2014 (no recalls I checked serial number with TC) with a Redfield Revenge 6x18x44. I have only shot 6 rounds to sight so far. Stock feels solid and not so Plastic feeling. I do like the Hogue inserts on the stock. The magazine is light and polymer, but feeds smooth. I thought I missed the first round. Easy to load. The bolt is smooth and I really like the crisp trigger.
Sighted at 100yds with a 1" group. Will shoot much more in the following weeks.
So far, ZERO complaints.
Future concerns: Magazine. I will order one for standby.
Rifle, Scope, Bipod and fully loaded mine weighs 11 lbs. Right about the same weight of my Savage 110 .300 Win Mag with 6x18 Bushnell and bipod.
*I called TC directly and they were very helpful with information about the recall.
