New to hand loading club

I have been kicking around the idea of trying to hand load my rifle and pistol ammo for a few years now. Well, I just scored an RCBS Rockchucker supreme master rl kit off of eBay for nearly $70 less than what Cabelas has them priced at.
With 3 kids having their own rifles, each in a different caliber, and 3 calibers in my own guns, I should get lots of practice.
No shipping costs on the kit, either.

You will love it. Much more accurate than factory loads when you find the right recipe

Not at first, but if you shoot much at all, you will want to clean your brass.

I have been reloading for 35+ years. It is a great hobby and very satisfying to be able to load very accurate ammunition for your specific gun(s) and to take game with a load you created yourself.
It is also a great escape from everything else going on in life as you really need to focus on all of the steps of the process as you go through them.
I just loaded up 160 rounds this morning for my 220 Swift.

That is the same press I use. I like the single stage reloading.
I have some 38 special brass and 9mm brass if your interested.

Read the Lee book on loading methods. Lots of info there.

Reloading is fun, and additive. Working up loads and different powders. Trying to get tighter and tighter groups.

The risk chucked is the press I use. I am in no hurry and find it relaxing to load up 50-100 rounds.

I clean brass every firing. You do not want power residues building up in your dies. Tumble befor and after depriming.

Have fun and be safe. Always work up loads and use your load charts. Do not **** max loads.

Ok. I'm starting at 0 so I will be asking lots of questions. I don't know which round I will start with, but at this time I am leaning towards my oldest daughter's 7-08. It is the only one with an other than factory barrel. It has a PacNor and has not been fired yet

I've heard the book "The ABCs of reloading" is excellent, but I haven't read it. It is available on Amazon, and also on Kindle.
