6.5 creed.....how often are you going to shoot a animal at 1k....most PRS guys run 6.5 creed, 6.5x47,6 creed, 6x47 which means you can reach 1200 all day without every shot costing $5... I run a 6.5creed n shoot factory 140 ammo

I built a 243 as the best long range caliber for the cost to shoot. I run the 105's right at 3000fps. The 105 berger hybrid bc is .547, It'll ring steel at 1000.

ill use a 6,5x55 scan for 1k shooting. pretty good B.C and not too expensive to load.
i would really like a cheytac or 338 lapua but its just to expensive to feed it...

also the 6,5 is a good mix between hunting round for deer sized animal and long rang shooting. at least for me.

28 nosler .672 bc at 3100fps with the 175 AccuBond LR.

I have a question, why the big talk of 338 edge instead of calling it what it became? 338 ultra mag. From what I read it was a 300 ultra mag necked up to 338, then Remington came out with the 338 ultra mag a year or two later.

I think I will stick with my Remington 700 7mm RUM - 145 gr Barnes LRX on H1000 at 3375 fps.

I don't shoot paper and I don't think the animals really care about the ballistics at 800 yards. It is not a "mine is bigger than yours" debate for me. I just can't afford to switch calibers every time a new one comes out. It is cool looking at them though.

Always!! I have a brand new 7 Mag. But it's prolly headed to Christiansen for a new barrel in caliber X.

I would send it to fierce to get the carbon wrapped barrel.

That was John Mogle's ideal when he left Christensen Arms and started fierce his new barrels are allot more accurate and doing a 5 shoot group rather then 3
