Scope height for a flat top AR

Just finished my PSA build. I want to put a 3x9 Burris, 40mm lens in a 1 inch tube.

My question? Will medium weaver rings clear the front sight or do I need higher ones? I want the scope as reasonably lowest to the barrel with that scope. Your thoughts?

PEPR mount or something similar. It makes the scope the right height for a standard ar. I have tried regular rings and go back to the PEPR every time.

I has tho use the higher mounts. Medium wasn't tall enough.

You will need to use extra high rings. I recommend the PEPR or other similar AR specific mount.

Leupold mark 2 ims should run you around 80-100 bucks.
And No. Medium rings won't get you there. Plus the one piece rings put the scope further forward while still on the reciever. . Which you will want.

Good advice in this thread so far ... I definitely would stick with a 1 piece mount like the Burris PEPR. I went with ADM but there are lots of good choices .. LaRue, Bobro
