No problem, Saubier is loaded with info especially on designing custom small caliber cartridges . That's where I learned lots of valuable info when I created the 17 Little Nasty

See if this helps ... http://www.204ruger.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7799

204 ruger forum is your friend

Another option, print the "powder burn rate chart" and find comparable powders to 8208 (such as H332) and reduce charges 10% and work up

I highly recommend you shoot over a chronograph to find optimum accuracy and velocity

This doesnt have much to do with 204 data aside from they are 204 rounds however i am still amazed at it. im sure some of you are if not aware of the problem, have expirenced it first hand. so here is the story...

I just finished a 204 AR, ive been researching potential loads and found a few that seemed promising so i loaded them up and here is what i got...

completly unacceptable, for me at least. (shooting 100yrds)

So after this outting im scratching my head going ***, how can so many people have "great" success with these powers and bullets and i get, that?!?! i went home and stayed up late into the night digging for an answer...finally putting the pieces together i believe i found the problem. next morning i load up THE SAME EXACT RECIPE except for one small thing and this is what happened...

wow, look at that! not great but im on to something, a little more tweaking and i should be where i want to be.

so what did i change? THE **** PRIMER!!

Now ive only been reloading for about a year now, so i am very new to it and maybe im more amazed by this than some of you will be but holy crap, i can not believe the difference a primer makes! im completely blown away by it and relieved at the same time!

Moral of the story, before scraping a load carefully examine your load data and be sure all the components work with each other.

Email Barnes and they should help you out.

I did a couple of years ago and they provided data.

I talk to the boys at Barnes on a fairly regular basis. They have a lot more loading data they will share with you than what is posted on their site.
They have always been very will to talk with me on the phone and answer my questions.
