... ehh on the scope... realy just on the bdc... I'm a fan of actually learning your gun, bdc is only accurate at a certain; altitude, temp, bullet weight, and muzzle velocity...
glass is fine but I'm not a fan of being forced into 168's I like heavier...
Neither statement is accurate. The BDC can be adapted to any load and conditions. Nikon gives away an app for this called Nikon Spot On. The only thing calibrated for 168s is a turret included with the plex reticle. If you don't want to shoot 168s, shoot something else and dial as needed for that load and conditions.
Cat., Yes, the Rapid Action Turret is a custom turret built around the popular 168 gr bullet at 2680 fps. If you want to shoot heavier or lighter bullets that is where the BDC reticle and Spot On come in handy. You can enter all your shoting data including atmospheric condition's to enhance your longrange accuracy. Some guy's are just not into that and would rather turn knob's, I get it, but with Spot On it really is amazing the accuracy you can obtain. I have lots of stories about Nikon Shooting Event's where guy's unfamiliar with Nikon's BDC reticle blew up 4 inch containers of Tannerite at 600 yards because of Spot On's data. Hard to argue with those kinds of explosive results. Sorry, couldn't help myself. The BDC scope is under the promo right now as well.
