    Photon Sightmark 4.2 Mounting help

Tried mounting the scope on a flat top AR. While boresighting the rifle, windage adjustment to the laser boresighter is no problem. Elevation won't work rhough. Adjustment on the scope won't allow laser to line up with the elevation cross hair. I'm using a Vortex one piece medium mount.

    Suggestions?

So when you go to adjust the "Y", it goes to -30 but that still isn't lined up, or are you having trouble pulling up the Y adjustment?

Other than experience sighting one in I don't have troubleshooting advice if it doesn't work other than to call Jason.

Correct on both counts. The boresight laser point is at the bottom of the vertical reticle and is at minus 30. AND when I dial +Y, the point drops even further below the center of the reticles. This is with the boresight on an object about 30 yards away.

Do you have another mount you can try? I had an issue like this and ended up finding the cross bolt that went through the mount was twisted, causing the scope to be canted upwards.

Other than that, Id probably send it back to Sightmark. They are good about returning you a new one.

I have the same problem but I think it is because of my cheap laser bore sight. I have the one that is attached to the end of the barrel. I need to buy the one that goes in the chamber.

Ordered a lower profile Sightmark Mount.

Supposed to be here Wednesday. We'll see how it works.
