    Beretta or Benelli?

Getting a new shotgun for dove/duck hunting, looks at the Beretta A400 Xtreme and the Benelli SBE 2. Cant figure out which one I want, 2 totally different guns as the Beretta is gas operated and the Benelli being inertia. Would like input from folks that have used them with light loads 1 oz. and duck loads. Thanks

Had a Franchi Intensity (cheap mans Benelli ) and now have a A400. Have shoot a SBEII though and I like the A400 the best

Like the slightly heavier feel that it has compared to the SBEII and personally think it has less recoil. It eats everything I run through it also

You will want the beretta gas with light 1oz loads...my M1's will cycle them, but other Benelli owners say they have some cycling issues. I would think the SBE would fall into this.

Both are quality. Which feels and points the best for you? I have the beretta and really like it!

The real question how much will you abuse it?

If it's going to be babied, get the beretta. Heavier, less recoil.

If you want a gun that can be used as a paddle on the way to the duck blind and still shoot all day, get the Benelli.

Flip a coin, my personal opinion is you will be tickled pink with either. Go handle both, close your eyes and shoulder them, see which feels better to you. They will probably both feel great, pick the one that looks the coolest

Have friends that shoot the A400 it is the best gun they have ever owned both are guides and doing a ton of shooting. They shoot alot of cranes and geese too and shoot alot of 3 1/2 inch thru them all day with no complaints. Spend alot of time in mud and water you cannot go wrong with Beretta I own the 391 can't tell how many times I have dropped it in the water believe I could of used it for a paddle

I've shot both and shot well with each.

I just liked the way that the SBE2 feels and went with that.
