XDs 4"

Okay guys, I'm gonna get an XDs with a 4" barrel.

Now would yall recommend a 9mm or a 45??

.45 is slick. And Nra recommends carrying as much power as possible..... I thought heavily on getting the .45

That being said my fiancé carries a 9 so I carry a 9. Nice to have the same ammo

Wife carries a G26, I carry a G26. Why? Same 9MM ammo and Mags. Oh well

I went with 9mm years ago when I got my first pistol just because of ammo prices.

If buying today I'd probably go with another 9.

I have a .45 and a .40. I really like the 45 as there is something about 13 rounds of .45 in a gun, that fits well in my hand.

but, the 9mm is just a tad smaller grip wise and holds more rounds.
If I had to pick one and wasn't reloading for it, 9mm.

Ive got a 4" XDS in 9mm. I love it. I would vote 9mm regardless of the type of gun though...

I got the 45 although in the 3.3" XDs. My reasoning was similar to others - ammo consolidation. My XDm 5.25" competition is 45 as well as my 1911.

personnally price wins for the 9m ammo over the .45 for me! if I find discount rounds i carry the .45.
