To the AR community I need some advise

i'm having trouble deciding whether I should Dericote kreocoat or spray bed liner on my ar. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both coats and is it a good idea to rhino line anything.

Why would you bed liner your rifle?! It would add a TON of weight, and you couldn't do any of the mating surfaces because they would no longer fit. I don't see that as even a remote option.

Would NOT use bed liner on any of it. You didn't mention it, but good old Krylon will allow you to make touch ups as needed, or remove it completely if you eventually want to return to the original color.

You can buy the grip and mags already colored if you aren't going crazy with a non standard color.

Man I can only imagine spray in bed liner making your grip so big that it would pretty uncomfortable to grab... The Magpul MOE+ is a very comfortable and soft grip that can be had in a variety of colors

I sprayed this one in a C series cerakote - OD green.
It's not as durable as the H series, but supposed to be more durable than duracote.

It might be worth looking into if you have an air compressor and a spray gun. They have a good selection of colors but no burnt orange. They do have burnt bronze though.

Had mine cerakoted. It isn't as durable as I thought it would be.

I would not consider bed liner at all.

If its grip you want then stipple the mags and grip. It's cheap and easy to do.

I've duracoated a couple guns and they were easy to do and hold up great.

I'd just keep banging away with a worn finish. Just a simple guy I guess.
