    What factory ammo for Rem700 308 16.5" AAC-SD?

What factory ammo are yall running in y'all's 16.5" 308 AAC-SD for hunting?

My 20" version liked the academy Monarch 150gr brass cased. I'm thinking of trying that again, but wanted a heavier bullet.

What have yall had good luck with?

Mine likes the mil spec 175 match. Pretty sure it is xm115. They arent considered hunting rounds but it works pretty good in their noggin.

I shoot the 165 gr GameKings by federal when hunting and 168 gr Sierra Gold Medal Match by federal when just shooting.

Probably 168 grain Amax for an all around bullet.

I can't remember, do you reload?

Try some 150 rem Corlock you might be surprised. My LTR likes it better than my best hand loads.

My dad does all the reloading. I usually don't shoot his reloads since I had good luck with the cheap Academy Monarch brass 150gr. Just want something a little better and heavier for deer this coming year.

If hunting is your main goal the I'd do 168 Bergers or Barnes TSX.
