Remington 770 - Is it REALLY that bad ?

Funny thread for sure...sad that most of the comments are pretty accurate too! POS firearm!
Remington has lost a lot of stock with that model IMO. Opened the door to many other rifles making a name...Tikka being one example.

I think you're dead on right with that one, I've never priced a Tikka, but the inexpensive Savage rifles come to my mind. They are priced very similar and the Remington 770 has a terrible reputation while the savage seems to be gaining a following as an inexpensive pretty accurate rife.

Remington could have done much better than the 770 for an entry level firearm.

Get a ruger american...its a better rifle...at least mine is....lol
