......and all I can say is the mistress is a match made in heaven.
Love the longer barrels and how they swing. Love the fit and feel of the whole package. The ported barrels aren't very loud and the recoil is pretty much nill. It is just a fine shooting machine.
Met a buddy at the Arlington Sportsman Club where we patterned it (wingshooting pattern not an aiming turkey pattern ) and shot 6 rounds of skeet. My back was acting up so we stayed off the sporting clays course for today unfortunately.
After patterning and shooting 19-23 for 25 in those six rounds, I am going to hold off on getting it fitted with the adjustable plate for now because there was a guy that had experience with fitting shotguns there at the club. He watched me pattern and shoot skeet as well as looked at my mount and LOP. My patterns were dang near perfect at 60%/40% at 20 and 30 yards.....and he said the LOP, cast and overall fit looked good. As the shooter I couldn't argue with him. He suggested I shoot it this summer and dove season, lose the weight I have been working on and then revisit later if I am not happy. He said I could fine tune some of the very small issues with an adj plate, if there were any then, but overall it looked really good and he wouldn't touch it right now. I'm happy with the scores considering it was a first time shooting this gun and having not shot since dove season.
I'll lose the weight, shoot this summer and then revisit it later again to see where we are. I don't want to cut on the gun unless I absolutely need it. If I do need it, I will.
Couldn't be happier with the new purchase!
Thanks to some of you folks for answer my questions on the guns and longer barrels..
