    Ted Nugent ammo

    Hey guys,
Academy is clearance selling the Ted Nugent ammo (300 win mag - Barnes 165gr TTSX). What do y'all think of the ammo (Ted Nugent brand) and what do you think about the TTSX for our Texas deer? I've heard that a lot of people don't like the TTSX for deer, but I personally have no first hand experience.

The price on the ammo is right ($27.00 a box).

    thanks
    Mitch

Good bullet at a good price. Id shoot it!!

I picked up some Barnes vortx on clearance at academy for my wifes 300 win mag. I usually reload for it but I had to try it at the price. The stuff shoots right at .5" out of a dang ruger!! lol

I've got a few boxes because academy never had the vortex ammo in TTSX for the right caliber and grain I wanted. Groups well out of my gun and I would recommend it. I've also seen what the TTSX do to deer and Coyotes and I would hesitate shooting it.

Sounds like I'll pick some up. Worst case scenario, I'll have brass.

Best ammo in the world my Backstrap Brotherhood

one time I was at my Texas hill country ranch and had a 2.5 yr. old 125" white tail facing broadside at 16 yds. I place my crosshairs on the perfect doube-lung shot and the bullet mistakenly hit the deer in the AZz as it ran off and died within 45 yds. on camera

another time I was hunting my private high fenced game reserve in Michigan and had a knarly looking juvenile chocolate fallow feeding on hand corn at 11 yds. Took a deep breath, placed the crosshairs on the "pump station" and squeezed the trigger . Bullet somehow ended up being a gut shot nowhere my aiming point. Ammo / bullet performed flawlessly as the beast trotted off and died overnight under a cedar tree.

best ammo I ever used and remember ... Be like Tedly, be ever so deadly !!!

He is a little over the top, but if the ammo is quality stuff, I'd buy it if it said Strawberry Shortcake ammo on the box.

I haven't tried it, but at the price I might have to get some

As long as I am "cocked, locked and ready to rock, I am confident that if I'm on a "Backstrap jihad" in the Texas Hill Country the Ted Nugent ammo in any caliber will cause a "Disconnect in the pump station" and allow me to "fuel my sacred temple with venison rocket fuel".

It's good ammo I've been shooting it and barnes vortx in my 300 win for a few years now.

                        Devastating on deer and pigs.

Do not shoot a deer in the shoulder with them. You will be picking bones out of the meat for a while.

Don't ask me how I know.

Very accurate to by the way. And for $27 it's not hardly worth reloading. I bought 8 boxes I think on clearance the other day

I have been shooting the Ted Nugent 80gr. Barnes in my 788 for several years now with excellent results.

He does a lot for hunting and gun rights. He's pretty cooky, but he's also pretty funny.
