    Range time.

Took out the new pistol, Springfield XD Mod 2 45. And the Remington 700 AAC-SD 308. I've been working on the trigger of the 700 and working on my trigger control. Lots of snap cap practice is paying off.

Worst group of the day, lightest powder charge

Best group of the day, also the hottest load tested. Looks like it likes em hot, no pressure signs and a .384" group @ 100 I think I found my load.

No rear bag? Bipod and a rear bag changed my groups like that to one hole

I've got a bipod but no rear bag yet. Plan on getting one. This was a pre stock change workout. Planning on getting rid of the crappy stock soon. It already shoots good so I'm happy with it, but a good stock will help with the consistency.

Me and the wife had a little range time in the backyard.
I was shooting the XDS 45 and she had her XDS 9 that I just got from Ike @ Big Tex Outdoors

That dog will hunt, very nice.

Rconn, you can buy dummy rounds to chamber and practice squeezing the trigger and protect the firing pin from the stress of going off without a loaded round.

In theory like dry firing a bow but obviously not to that extreme.

I took my hunting rifles out in the pasture this afternoon to get them and myself ready for hunting season!

Plastic bullet with brass where the primer would be, you can shoot in your house or wherever, practice trigger pulls, breathing, etc.. without dry firing the rifle over and over.

I like it a lot so far. I went to the store to get a glock 30s and the owner told me to hold the XD mod 2 first so I did, ended up with the XD and saved $120. I put 100 rounds down range today, shoots good, not as snappy as I thought it was going to be either. For a small gun it shoots very nice.
