I've been looking for a home defense shotgun for my daughter. She needs a short stock to fit her well. I found this Mossberg 500 with a Magpul adjustable stock and an 18.5" barrel today. It has five 1/2" spacers in the stock that can be added or removed to fit. Comes with a taller check piece as well that would be nice with a scope or holo sight. I put a rail on the forend and put a laser on that.
Fill it full of reduced recoil 00 buck, and it should be just the ticket for her. Sent her a pic (she's at work), and she was excited. Makes a daddy's heart warm when his daughter is excited about a new gun.
