.41 L.D.A. - What can you tell me about this caliber?

I given two big boxes containing a mixture of ammunition. Mostly 12 gauge, 16 gauge, 410 gauge, 30-06, 270, 22, 25-06. But inside the box there were some other interesting cartridges of calibers I'm not familiar with, such as the 41 L.D.A. and 35 WCF.

I've seen the 35 wcf around at gunstores, but never the 41 L.D.A. A Google search didn't give me enough information to satisfy me. I believe the L.D.A. = Long Double Action. Is this the same as the 41 Long Colt?

Which firearms were chambered in the 41 L.D.A? I was hoping the guns were there for the taking, but unfortunately all the firearms had been stolen. I guess that sorta thing happens when the home owner is put into a nursing home and no kin close by to check on house.

Only history I know is the owner had been a Marine in WWII and was wounded at Guadalcanal. I received two Purple Hearts in his service. He passed away sometime after he returned from the war.

Oh, another cool shell in the lot was a 3.5" 10ga wax paper shell with a cardboard closure.

You can always mic the cartridge and check the dimensions against the .41 Colt.
