My wife bought one 2 years ago and we haven't had any issues with it. It does have a snap but its no worse than the SKB 20 O/U I have. I found some after market extended chokes for it late in the season last year. Need to pattern them to see how they do.

May have to try the weight in the stock idea

I'm laughing at everyones answers, "kicks like a mule" or "kicks like a beast". If you look at these guns on the Academy website, you see that people bought the gun AND the recoil pad too. I bought the 20 youth for my daughter and she can put the smack down on some clays, haven't put her on any birds yet, this year hopefully. Had an issue when I first bought it, one of the barrels wouldn't fire as a secondary shot and the people fixed it at Briley's no questions asked. Was going to get a couple of chambermates, wanted to see if my youngest can shoot the 410 with this gun. I'd be willing to bet that the negative reviews are coming from people comparing this gun to a Beretta or Browning, not in the same ballpark. I don't think you can get as good of a gun for the money, haven't tried the Condor o/u yet, that'll be what I try for birds this season just to see which one I like.

Bought a 20ga for my daughter and after a few complaints, I traded her my 12 for her 20 for the rest of the afternoon. She didn't want the 20 back. The Yildiz pointed well, but the recoil is noticeably high. I didn't mess with adjusting the stock, but I did replace the Yildiz with a used SKB 28ga. I was able to dump the Yildiz relatively quickly, so resale was good!

Save your money and buy used at better quality....

I like mine but it does have some bump to it, no doubt!

I used to shoot a Beretta 391 12 ga. Got a Yildiz 28ga OU and I knock down just as many doves, bust as many clays and have a lot more fun.

IMO, they are very cheap OUs. They have some pretty good recoil to them but for a guy on a budget they will work fine. Just dont expect a fancy gun for the money.
That's the dude with the blown up one right?

Anyway. If you insist on having a double then have at it. I never saw the value in lowest denominator purchasing. The cheapest wheels so I can have 20's, worst resolution so I can have a bigger tv, cheapest ou cuz anyone but me cares what i shoot, etc. There's a myriad of pumps and even used sa's that are better constructed weapons than these at the pricepoint. Cz even makes a much better shotgun, maybe the only one of consideration out of turkey considering their terrible metallurgy and bad fitting.

But I'm rambling. If you get one I truly hope you like it. It works, I've shot several. It is not a nice shotgun besides going back to the it works part. That's been the only constant in this thread. So does a mossberg 88.

                  I've had the 20 gauge O/U for about 7 years...Love it.

There's a used 20ga for sale at 2Cool....owner (not me) says its "brand new". i.e. it only took a few shells to figure out the recoil issue. Comes with a limbsaver pad. If you want to give the Y a try, may as well buy used to save a few more bucks!
