Help me decide

I am about to start a new build. And have been kicking around two different ones.
I am looking at building a 280AI or a 7mag. Which one would you choose and why?
I reload so factory ammo isn't a deal breaker.

Don't have much experience with the 280AI but my next rig will be a 7mm mag with a bull barrel. I love the way they shoot.

When I finally pull the trigger on a custom build it will be a 280AI. So naturally that gets my vote. 7mag "ish" ballistics without the recoil. Plus it has way more cool factor, everyone has a 7mag.

7 mag for me. Everyone HAS one for a reason......they work and work very well! I thought about the 280ai, but other than the COOL factor......7 mag beats it in EVERY way when loaded to equal pressures.

.280 AI cannot touch the 7mm Mag when loaded hot. I just love the 7mm balistics.

What barrel length would you run? I am thinking around 24" I would like to keep it as short as possible and still get the velocity.

I own both and both shoot well.

When I reach in the safe the AI comes out unless my son is using it. Very similar ballistics with less powder and less recoil.

7mag for me. Closest thing to a 1 gun and done setup as you'll find.
