With YHM QD adapter.
These are full power 5.56 rounds. No ear pro. There is a first round pop but only supersonic crack after that. https://vimeo.com/126989265
I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

SD tactical DIY suppressor
Yes, I have a tax stamp. I made a trust then efiled two form 1's. This one and one for a .22. I can send the links to everything I learned off of. It's kind of involved to type up in tapatalk.
I purchased the tube and end caps from SD Tactical. I formed my own Freezeplugs from Napa and made my own spacers out of aluminum tubing.
I can give more specific answers to specific questions about forming baffles and stuff like that.

The tube is what is registered. There is tons of arguments as to the other parts but that is the gist of it. DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN ANYTHING PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE TAX STAMP. One you assemble the suppressor ALL the components are the "suppressor" ATF does specify that you can "repair" any damaged form 1 suppressor. This means you can replace baffles or end caps but you need to destroy the old ones.
You must specify caliber on the form 1 BUT you can shoot anything smaller than the hole you drill. I'm using a .370 hole throughout for .223 up to 7.62. I made a dedicated .22 can because it is way lighter than a big full bore suppressor. The best thing to do (from my reading for hours and hours. I'm not an expert of course) is if you are going to use it like I do for .223 up to whatever you drill you really only need the one suppressor and the original parts. VOLUME is what suppresses. Not necessarily the size of the hole through the suppressor.
There are TONS of gray areas in ATF language in regards to building a form 1 suppressor. I highly recommend a lawyer for any specific legal questions. I can give all the input I can on the actual parts and what I did for my specific suppressors.

Sounds awesome. Post pics when you get your stamp and get started. I'd love to see it.
