    Leverevolution. 140gr .30-30 ?

Seen these the other day. Was thinking I might be needing to swap out the
    Simmons straight 4X for a Swarovski 6x24x50 ???

I've always shot 150gr Core-Lokt. Killed everything I've shot at. All shots under 125 yds.

Was just wondering how effective these 140gr would be on hogs in the 200 yd range.

Anyone shot these ? Are they perfectly safe for my Marlin lever .30-30 ?

I seen the 160gr awhile back but wasn't really interested in 10gr heavier. But the 140gr..... 10gr lighter than any I've ever seen, pointed, and supercharged, has my attention.

And whats the diff in FTX and Monoflex? Both safe for tubular magazine?

    Please, enlighten me......

    thanks, Derek.

Once you shoot these you will probably never go back to corelokt. I shoot the 160gr and would be comfortable shooting out to 200. If its leverevolution, then yes it's going to be safe in a tubular magazine that's what they were designed for.

I have leverevolution 160's shooting in my pre-64 Winchester, and they are lights-out at 200 yards. Shot a couple 3" groups at that distance with a 4x Weaver scout scope, and the ballistics say it should drop anything at 200.

The 140gr were very accurate in my contender 14" handgun...never shot any game though.

Killed some game w the 160gr ammo in with my marlin 336 but the accuracy with those is poor in my gun...4-5" @ 100 yards. The same gun shoots pretty much any factory 150 gr load around 2".

Shoot 160s in my 336 and my son's and they are very accurate. I haven't been able to find the 140s locally, but would love to try some.

Though not a 30-30, I load and shoot them in my lever .357 and would not hesitate to take a 200 yard shot with it/them.

I shoot the 160s out of my 30-30. Let me echo this sentiment. Pig killing round.

I shoot the 325s out of my 45-70. Great pig round as well.

                              Should be no issue.
