    Scope help

Well its narrowed down, these are the 2 scopes im looking at. I know theres others that may be "better" for the money but this is what I want. I have a Monarch I bought but it was wayy too big for what I need and for the money Monarch glass is amazing.

    Leupold VX-2 CDS 3-9 on sale $249
Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10 on sale $229

These scopes are normally arent on sale so I went to go look at them. Im leaning towards the Leupold bc of its eye relief and compactness. The Vortex is has amazing clear glass and the top turret is covered.

Cons: Leupold - top turret not covered, it does have a zero stop but im thinking of damage if I drop it for whatever what ifs.
Vortex - its not a Leupold and the eye relief isnt of a Leupod lol.

Anyways not trying to start a brand debate to please refrane from that, I just want to know which you would pick with or without a reason. I feel like its a toss up and ill be happy with either.

Three reasons to buy Leupold--#1 Warranty, #2 Warranty, #3 Warranty.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

While your right Vortex has the same warranty so thats why I didnt mention it. That usually is a deciding factor lol

I have both scopes and like each of them. I guess I prefer the Leupold over the Vortex a little. I do know that the Leupold people sure do stand behind their scopes on warranty, that being said I have not had any problems with the Vortex that need any warranty help. I guess the reason I like Leupold better is because they are made in the USA.

Spend the extra $20 and get the Leupold.

Warranty is no better than Vortex from what I hear. Ive been really impressed with Vortex lately.

Vortex's customer service if ever needed is the best. Those guys will bend over backwards to make the situation right.

                    The covered turret is huge.

From a pricepoint I no longer look at Leupold. A lot of the price is the name. I started buying Redfield (owned by Leupold) because the glass is awesome and priced right. If I need a scope with higher power than what Redfield offers I look at Vortex.

For expensive glass I look at Nightforce.
