I had a Sav mod 10 predator, now in the hands of a friend and fellow TBH'r.

It shot the Fed Premium 120 grain BT's the best. Averaging .5 at 100 and just under 1 MOA out to 450 which was the farthest I was able to shoot. Off the hood with a good rest.

Killed a couple deer and several hogs with it out to 250.

Yep, Federal Premium with the Nosler Ballistic Tips were otherworldly accurate.

Had a custom 260 built and bought everything to reload. I went to the range to break it in and was using Remington 140 corelokts, and they shot 3/4" groups, so I stayed with those. They are lights out on pigs and whitetails!

Federal Premium 120 gr Nosler BT and 140 gr Sierra Gamekings are extremely accurate in my Sako and deadly on game. Gonna see how the Berger/Amax shoot eventually.

Step 1 would be to find the barrel twist rate. If it's 1:12 120 gr may be the heaviest bullets it will shoot accurately. Something faster would make heavier bullets possible.

Ive only seen 1:9 and 1:8 twist rates. Man, i couldnt imagine that slow of a twist!

Not common but it happens. I have a Stevens 7-08 with a 1:12 barrel. Shoots lights out with 120's Not so well with anything heavier. Best to know before you spend a lot of money on ammo that will not work.
