Which one do you prefer a fixed bipod or swivel? I have one of each and still not sure which one I like better. Also not real sure what benefits a swivel has.

I have seen my fair share of elevated deer blinds in Kansas as well.
As a primarily prone shooter, I would suggest the swivel due to the rarity of finding even ground to shoot off of. You can adjust it tight enough to not create a wobbly platform while still having the flexibility of swivel.

They are everywhere up here too.
Most guys don't even get to use them, however, as it's easier to hop out of the warm truck and shoot off the hood!
