For me and my rifle it's not necessary as it eats absolutely everything that I feed it work exceptional accuracy, but that comes from the fact that Bobby trued it very well and the obermeyer barrel that is on the gun. I haven't found a load that shoots over .75 inch with 10 rounds at 100 yards. So what I'm getting at is that it's a judgement call on your part. If you are planning on hunting a "lead free" zone go try some Barnes bullets, but remember that depending on the twist rate of your barrel you may be limited in bullet weight as the all copper bullet is longer than a lead core bullet. Personally I go for what shoots best in my gun

I've had great results from gameking's and shot a ton of em.. I've shot less interlocks but they preformed very well too. If they shoot well for you stick with em.
It's not like they are just some random run of the mill fmj, corelokt, or sp.. they are well made bullets and do as they are designed to do.
