Alamo Precision Rifles: On the Range!!!!

Ask and you shall recieve. Many have been waiting to see how these rifles preform and I spent the day breaking in my new APR 280 AI.
I have to say I am very pleased and so was my pops who was with me today.
I only have one box of ammo down the tube and expect my groups will only get better after the barrel has another couple boxes through it.
I spent the first 13 rounds getting my zero and then shot a seven shot group.
100 yds from bags. Cleaned after the first two then fired the remaining 5.
I was super happy with my group and know that if I had a lead sled it would have been tighter. I cant wait to shoot her again!!!
Big thanks to Jason, Robert and all involved at APR! You have a happy customer here and I look forward to my next purchase with you.

I would think it would be much more capable than 1.75 moa. I bet with a different load, it will improve or maybe need to try off of a more stable bench. Are you reloading with the AI chambering?

I know this rifle is capable of 1/2 inch groups. The 1.75 is purely me (the shooter). I plan on reloading. This was with factory ammo.

Question....I know what the AI purpose is but is a 280AI that much better than a regular ol 280 round? Or is it just because I want a round tailored just for me?

It is that much better and has the ability to use standard 280 loads in a pinch so win-win

Thanks for the report Texifornia. Glad to hear you are pleased with your rifle. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to build it. Let us know how the next range trip goes.

Core-lokts I assume? They shoot garbage groups in my x-bolt 280, but I reload it to average under 1 MOA. Yours should perform much better with reloads.

I really didnt think everyone would be beating this group up that bad.
Shots one through four were at about .65 moa. Plus like I said im sure it would have been better if I was on a sled.
