Is a Sendero .270 worth $750 if the stock is not 100% but the rest of the gun is? Not a stainless sendero just the mate finish.

It seems that they are a highly sought after item both in the 270 and 25-06. Haven't been made in many years and most are of the opinion that the first gen sendero's were the best shooters. They definitely have the better trigger than today.
I've seen them advertised for $12-1300 but haven't tracked what that sold for. Do a search here and on 2cool, there's been a few for sale lately.
The stock is quality and can be repaired/painted for a little bit or replaced on eBay/gun broker for about $200. Additionally, you can get one new from Bell and Carlson of a slightly different design for about $250 and double that from McMillian. -
