Great looking rifle! I've got the exact scope getting ready to go on a .260 I'm having built. Wanted to see what rings you were able to get away with, the height looks perfect. Also, how do you like the scope?? I haven't even been able to look through mine yet. I'm currently deployed and it is sitting at my brothers house just waiting for me!

On the rings I originally went with Talley mediums, but they did not work. The scope was making contact, so I went with Talley high. If the scope would have been a half inch longer the mediums would have worked. So far I like the scope, glass is very clear. the turrets feel good when you turn them. I really like the zero stop and the locking turrets. I have always owned Leupold scopes and was originally going to get a VX6. After asking several members on here about the HD5, I decided to give it a try.

I've got a 6.5x284 being built right now with McM Gamescout stock also. It's not getting here quick enough.

I know how you feel it seemed like it took forever to get this rifle. It's definitely worth the wait. I bought a few boxes of factory ammo, but plan to reload so if anyone has any recipes please share.

                            Thanks
