AK Deer Rifle

Just started my build of my AK deer/fun rifle and so far its coming together. Planning on changing the stock to a wood one and putting a muzzle break on it as well. Should work well for Coyotes if i get a chance at them at a buddies place.

So far open sighted i can do about 2" groups to 1 1/2" on a lucky day. Hopefully with the scope i can reduce that and make it a good 100-200 yard deer gun.

What yall think?

nah. I can convert VEPR 308 mags over. A company is in the process of making some. I tried making them out of M1A 308 mags but the 308 bullets nose dive. The ak needs more of an upward angle into the chamber rather then a straight once since it doesnt really have a big feed ramp.

If that's the groups you're getting, I'd say the deer don't have a chance.

At about 2500 fps with the current 150gr so loads. May try and up it a little from there
