What bullet are you using in 300 blackout for hogs?

I've been using the nosler BTH 125 grain over imr 4227 in my sbr but I'm running low and can't seem to find much around. Wasn't real crazy about the expansion on a big pig either. I'm thinking of trying the hornady 125 sst. What's everyone else think?

The 110gr TAC by barnes is currently the best hunting bullet available for the 300...I'm shooting mine over a healthy dose of W296 (or you can sub H110)

Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX over 19 grains of H110, but in a 16 inch barrel.

125 speer TNT! Cheap, extremely accurate, and performs well at 300blk velocities....

I havent hand loaded the Barnes yet. The factory ammo though shot terrible in my rifle and I've been leery to try it again yet. It's a high end rig with quality parts. My nosler handloads cloverleaf at 50 and the Barnes was like 3". It's 8.2" Noveske

              This!!!
125 nosler ballistic tips and 110 hp sierra varminter's do the trick too. I save the 110 tac-tx's for deer.

Anyone try the 125 hornady SST?

110 Barnes TAC-TX hammers everything. Only had one animal take a step and it was totally my fault. Made a poor shot but still recovered within 30 yards.

Groups well under 1" out of my Noveske 8" SBR and under an inch in my Rem 700 with 16" AAC barrel.

I don't get pass throughs on pigs with the ballistic tips so I rarely shoot them.

I have some loaded but haven't tried them yet.

I didn't get pass throughs on my last pigs (huge ones) with the BT's so I'm looking for something different. I'm thinking the SST's for the cost savings (100 vs 50 p/ box) at around the same price. For some reason 50 rounds per box annoys me.

Do you mind sharing your load data for your 8" noveske? I'm shooting the same thing.

I think you're going to see similar terminal performance with the SST as you are with the BT.

Off the top of my head I'm running around 20 grains of 300MP behind the 110 Barnes TAC-TX. I'll verify when I get home.

That's awesome thanks! Anything is appreciated so I can compare as I build up loads.

                            I was pretty close.

Of course the disclaimer. These loads work in my rifle. Start low and work up. Blah, blah, blah.

Midway has some new Barnes TacTx in 120gr for sale. If I didn't have so many reloads if give them a try.
