    Drag bag

Anybody recognize this? Bought it on CL and the guy called it a drag bag. No markings on it but this thing his heavy duty. Maybe the nicest soft rifle case I have seen. I'd like to know what I've got. Guy claimed his brother sent it home from Navy deployment so it might be govt issue? I can't find one exactly like it anywhere online.

Does navy even get issued weapons? lol jk. But drag bags are used typically for sniper sections. We use them on stalks. You put your weapon in it along with other mission essentials. I clip mine with a d-ring to my belt loop, attached to some 550. When you have to low crawl or sniper crawl into a position (which you should avoid doing at all costs lol, use terrain to use more comfortable movement techniques) you drag your weapon bag behind you... Thus giving the name drag bag. We usually sew on duck canvas and netting to veg the bag.

Thanks for the info. I honestly did not know why it was called that.
