My first three tries at reloading

I started on the low end of what book said. 64 grains of rl22 with 100 grain nosler ballistic tip. Going to shoot the two tomorrow. The one is a reminder of my first attempt and fail .

I would love to hear what all everyone uses and reloading info that folks will share with me when it comes to the .257 wby mag.
Next I want to reload for my .223 or 10mm. Then maybe my .450 bushmaster.

All you have to do is tell people the third one is an ackley cartridge . That's what his designs look like.

I don't crimp my rifle bullets. I just seat them. I dropped one between my blind and feeder, found it 6 months later. It was tarnished but powder was still dry. Of course I didn't shoot it, but I saved it.
It takes a few tries to get dies set up correctly. I wouldn't call it a failed attempt. I always set mine up with an empty case.

Ooops. Welcome to the club. Wait till you try to cram a 208 AMax too far into a .308 case on a compressed load of RL17!

I don't shoot a .257 Wby but a good friend does. He swears by the 115 Ballistic Tip. Only thing he will shoot in it.

I shot a couple out into my field, all went well....I still have a face and no harm done to my rifle!

I had similar results on my first try. Now I leave plenty of room and don't crimp them.
