Found a weatherby vanguard in 270 mag for 480.00. Good shape wood stock no scope. Is that reasonable?

Found this in an old Weatherby forum :
"There are several differences between the series 1 vanguard and the series 2. I own a series 1 vanguard synthetic in 270 winchester. The new S2 has a bead blast matte finish on the bluing vs the spun finish blue on mine. The stocks look to be quite a bit different in feel, with the griptonite panels on the S2. I personally haven't gotten to check out an S2 yet, but hope to soon. The S2 synthetic stock is gray in color with the black grip panels. The S1 synthetic stock is all black. The S1 has a 2 position safety, vs the S2 which has a 3 position safety, which allows unloading with the safety on. The accuracy guarantee is 3 shots in < 1.5" for the S1 vs 3 shots in <.99" for the S2, both from a cold barrel. Finally, the S1 has a single stage trigger vs the 2 stage trigger of the S2. There may be other differences that I'm no aware of, but these are the most obvious ones."Last edited by jer_james; 01-08-2015, 01:48 PM.

Does it come with rings and bases? Without them, I'd say that's getting on the pricey side.
