    Ar10 ?

I have aan AR15 and really like it, but I've been thinking about the .308 lately and how much harder it hits, so I think I want an AR10. I don't require anything with bells and whistles, just a simple, solid rifle. Can I get into one for $1000.00 or less? Or if I decide to buy a lower and then build a rifle, is it pretty much just like building an AR15? Thanks for any help and advice.

Just do some research on the PSA PA10. They use several proprietary parts and you are limited on aftermarket triggers. They do seem to shoot well though and Ive seen complete rifles on sale at PSA for 699

PSA is your friend if you are trying to keep it under $1k.
I've been eye balling that 18" upper for $650. I think I saw it on sale before for $599

I just ordered a complete lower and the upper I want should be less than 1000 all said and done

I looked at PSA earlier today and saw the lower on sale, but never saw the upper. I guess I'll go look again. Thanks

Check out the DPMS gen 2's. They feel great(much lighter than most) and seem to have good reviews.

DPMS oracle should be about $800. You will still need a good trigger (cause DPMS triggers SUCK) and scope.

What proprietary parts are you referring to? All AR10s have, to some degree, proprietary parts and aren't all interchangable.

As far I know you can use any AR15 trigger on a PA10, why do you say you are limited?

I'm interested in this, as well.
