The 10/22 has more aftermarket quality parts out there than any other 22lr combined. Add to the fact that anyone with a screwdriver and an Allen wrench can set it up as they desire.
And you want to buy a factory modded 10/22? Makes zero sense to me... The 10/22 is the rimfire platform equivalent of the AR... You buy one and mod it out to your hearts content.
Made sense to me when I bought mine back in 70s for $69.00 but back then there was only one model. Now mine looks like a cross breed between different models and it's still stock except for the old redfield 4x scope with post in it on the rifle. Not shot out either never used it just for target practice. It likes the cci stingers best for grouping......Andy

Yes I know they have all that stuff Coach but I only plan to add a scope to this rifle other than that it's just how I wanted it. I could not have built one for less so it made perfect sense to me.
It would cost a boatload to build one yourself considering the barrel profile is in between that of the standard taper and the standard bull barrel. No way you're getting a re-barrel and a custom stock (plus a mag release and swivels) for the extra $100 this one costs over a standard carbine.

I want one too....
Barrel has a target crown and they used a better trigger too. Love the way it feels too very balanced not nose heavy like bull barrel.
