    Savage 11 Hog Hunter?

Im thinking of buying one of these to compliment my DDM4 .300blk. Does anyone have any history with this rifle? What ammo does it like? What do 100 yard groups look like?
    Thanks,
    Scotty

I have one and I like it. The stock sucks on it. It will flex and touch the barrel.

      The accutrigger is nice.

What kinda groups are you getting out of it at 100 yards?

I've been thinking about getting one and putting a night vision scope on it for hog hunting at night.

I'm not a 100% set in this rifle. I'm looking for a .308 bolt gun with a 16"-20" heavy/medium profile barrel with a threaded tip. Any other suggestions?

Not bad. I haven't shot it all that much.

I did just pick up the precision carbine 10. I like that rifle too. I haven't shot that one yet

Isn't it just a cheap version of the Savage 10? I would rather have one with the removeable magazine....

Have used this rifle in 308 this year. 10 animals with it from 40-400 yards. I shoot 165 TTSX Barnes and it a 1/2 MOA gun if I do my part. At 449.00 at Academy how can you go wrong?

Try the Weatherby Vanguard S2. Just bought one for my son and it's a tack driver. Heavy barrel with target crown and loves cheap ammo. Haven't tried to reload for it cause theres no need. Remington core lkts, and fusions in 150 grain shoot lights out. Trigger was set to 3 lbs out of the box.

You may take a look at the Ruger American Predator model. 18" Medium contour threaded barrel. All for under 500.00.

This rifle shoots dang good. Last time I shot it I hit 10 shots comfortably within a quarter and slightly outside a nickel.

I like shooting black hills out of it.
