Question for 300 blk handloaders

I just put together a 300 blk and I am working on some hand loads, specifically subsonic loads.

What OAL are you guys running on the 220gr subs?

I am loading 220gr SMK's and using IMR 4227. Book length is 2.26", but they are pretty tight in my mags....

On the internet I see people loading them less than 2.1" OAL...seems odd....any advice?

John because of the profile of the SMK, you will have to set them back a little farther. I can't remember how far back to set it.
