I have a lower from PSA already but it is not designated as a pistol lower. What differentiates the lower classifications? Only if I put a pistol buffer or rifle stock on it? I'm wanting to do maybe 12" 300blk upper on that lower with a sig brace. Is that possible or do I need to get a different lower?

You can build a pistol AR from any lower not previously built as a rifle. There is nothing about the lower itself that is any different ... there is nothing of significance in what is stamped on the side of the lower either. They can be stamped with a particular caliber, with "multi", or with "pistol" on the side - that stamp is meaningless and they can be used in any capacity ... so long as it's never been a rifle! -
