Need a new hunting rifle.

It needs to be threaded. 20in barrel or longer. 308 win.

Right now I am thinking

Savage 10 Precision Carbine

or

Remington 700 SPS Tactical

Thoughts? What about building one from a receiver?

Thought about it, but I already have a savage hog hunter with a short barrel. Wanting something a little longer.

Don't know what your budget is but the tikka CTR looks pretty good. Detachable mag, 20 inch semi heavy threaded barrel and adjustable trigger from 2-4.5 pounds. I have heard good things about Tikka rifles. Just under 1000.00.
