You guys ragging on Taurus...have you shot one lately? They've come a long way in the past few years IMO. The PT111 and the PT145 Millennium Pro are good little firearms. You'll never catch my wife without her TCP380. It's her daily carry...prefers it over the higher priced Kahr P380 she carried for awhile.
I'm not implying it's for everyone...but I've shot a bunch of guns and own a few Taurus' that are great shooters.
Bought 2 different Taurus' in the past couple years. Don't have either one of them anymore. There's a reason for that.
Sorry buddy, but they are junk. When it comes to self defense why would you ever bet your life on a sub par piece of equipment when there are so many reasonably priced options, in a proper caliber, that are known for their reliability.
The gun is built as a last resort option. Meaning the gun is designed for close combat, less than 10 feet, so IMO who needs sights or lasers? Let me hit something 7X with a .380, if it doesn't die you'll sure help change its mindset real quick. Things that are alive don't like to leak blood and if you can "pie plate" the rounds and it functions reliably that is all you can ask of a "last resort" pocket gun. There are other options out there for the better and for the worse than add personal preference and now you've got a mess I mean decision to make!
Looks like it is made for right handed shooters. Look at how it curves, right handed would be easy pull and it is in your hand. A left would have the curve pushing out against clothing or be carrying it with barrel pointing up in back pocket on left side.
I have a TCP and picked it over the LCP because I liked the trigger better. FIL has had a lot of Taurus' with zero issues which is why I decided to go with it. So far zero issues for me. Great little pocket pistol. My dad has two LCPs and likes shooting my Taurus better...

Ruger came out with an LC9s. They changed the trigger finally. Everything I read online said its a huge improvement.
I own a Taurus. It was left to me by a relative or I wouldn't own it. Don't care for it personally. I don't own a Ruger either but would be willing to give the "s" series a try.

Just my $.02 and I could be overthinking it.
No, you are correct, I was thinking the same thing. They don't mention it on their website but I assume Taurus will produce a southpaw version?
