    Who's ported your pistol slides?

Just got my Glock 20 in and looking to spice her look up and bit and thinking of porting the slide...

Anyone done this if so where and how much did it run you if you don't mind me asking. I imagine it varies based on the design.

    Thanks again

I always had good service / luck with MagnaPort

      around $150 for a semi-auto pistol

I'm not much of a pistol shooter so forgive the stupid question, but what does porting the slide do?

Does nothing but make it cooler looking from my knowledge
          And a little lighter

I wouldn't do it. IF you must, go shoot a Glock that is already compensated. Like a 23C or so, and see how you like it. I had one and would have been very afraid to shoot it inside if I had too, because the thing is so dang loud! It was very unenjoyable to shoot!

It keeps the barrel from popping up as much with the recoil of the shot!

It's to allow for barrel porting (which reduces recoil). If you port the barrel in a semi auto and not the slide, at worst you'll end up gas cutting your slide, at best you'll just have a very dirty pistol.
